Indigo Dye and Paint Party
THURSDAY, AUGUST 10 · 5:30-8:00 PM
Cocktails? No, but in this workshop we will blend up some indigo leaves with ice water to make some dye juice. We will dye some silk pouches that you can use to hold your treasures.
Afterward, you can paint with some indigo pigment or just stamp a leaf impression onto the cloth.
Bonus – you will take the stems home to root to grow more plants.
Funding for the artist, Bernadette Puleo, comes from a Creative Communities grant through New York State Council of the Arts and Huntington Arts Council.
