Survival Series – Water Purification

Community Programs, Nature Center, Washington Lodge

Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Join Ranger Eric for the 3rd of 9 adventures on survival. Dive into the essentials of survival with our Water Purification Workshop! Water is life, especially in survival scenarios, and knowing how to find and purify it is crucial. Join us to uncover various techniques for locating water sources and mastering both ancient and modern purification methods. From collection and filtration to purification, we’ll ensure you’re equipped with the knowledge to secure this vital resource in any environment.

Be prepared for the elements with proper layers, footwear, gloves, and a hand towel. Fortunately, we have a nice fire pit at the Washington Lodge, creating a perfect atmosphere for survival.

Minimum age- 15 years old (Children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.)

This is the third of 10 “stand-alone” workshops. The series consists of 9 two-hour survival skills workshops and the final event is a 24-hour survival challenge!
