Calling All Gardeners!

Community Programs, Nature Center

“Odd as I am sure it will appear to some, I can’t think of no better form of personal involvement in the cure of the environment than that of gardening.” – Wendell Berry, American novelist, poet, environmental activist, and farmer.

CEED’s mission is to connect people to nature, and gardening is a wonderful means to that end. To put this into action, we have established a Garden Club where volunteers can help plant several garden beds that will each have a different purpose and function; for example, flower beds for aesthetic value, food gardens for our animal ambassadors, and some beginner gardens to teach basic gardening skills.

2021 was the start of really getting the garden beds planted and started, and this year even more raised beds were added! Looking to the future, we are excited to see this project grow and bloom with the help of our volunteers and the community. If you would like to be a part of the action, email us for more information.

Anyone can volunteer. Even you!
