In addition to the great music and the Birds of Prey and Sculpture on the Trail, here are a few more reasons to join us at our family-friendly Fall Equinox Festival this Saturday from 11-3.
Quality Parks – Native Plants & Conservation
Mindy will be selling native plants, tick bite prevention socks and sprays, and items for bird lovers.
Indigo Garden Arts
Bernadette does amazing things with natural indigo dyed fashion accessories, dye kits, and workshops.
Avalon Nature Initiative
Avalon’s student volunteers will share about the Nature Initiative. They’ll also have a “Migrate, Hibernate, or Adapt” game for children and families. And they’ll talk about which animals we see at Avalon Nature Preserve
Wild Heart Nature Connection
Linda will gladly talk with you about how forest therapy or forest bathing can improve your connection to Nature.
Sicanni Purizaca
Sicanni will show and sell his Native American handcrafted jewelry and musical instruments.
Wild Working Gardens & Kitchen
Karin will be selling a beautiful array of house plants in vintage and new attractive planters. Also, honey, seeds, and lots of free information about gardening.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County
CCE’s Fisheries Team will showcase marine fisheries projects and promote local seafood education.
Town of Brookhaven
Find out about Town of Brookhaven recycling and get a free recycling bin.
Graziano Photography
Anthony Graziano is a fine art photographer, author, educator and advocate for conservation who has captured the beauty of nature through his photography for more than 30 years. At our Fall Equinox Festival, he’ll be exhibiting his artwork, books and related items as well as offering photography workshop opportunities.
