Herbal Crafts from CEED’s Garden – Wild Working Gardens with Karin Falcone

Arts and Crafts, Community Programs, Gardening, Nature Center

Sunday, November 24, 2024, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Enjoy a brief land honoring ceremony and tour of the demonstration garden beds. Harvest thyme, oregano and sage for holiday cooking. We will warm up inside with herbal tea from the garden and make two crafts: herbal fairy brooms and small lavender pillows for your olfactory pleasure from flowers grown at CEED. No sewing involved. Ages 12 and up welcome. Half of proceeds will support the community gardens at CEED.

Karin Falcone Krieger is a master gardener, personal chef, suburban homesteader and author of the newsletter Wild Working Gardens, featuring ideas on organic and regenerative methods including astrological gardening. Check out her newsletter here.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the NY State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York  State Legislature.
