Indigo Magic!

FRIDAY, AUGUST 4 · 5:30-8:00 PM
Create a beautiful silk scarf using the leaves of the Indigo plant.
Dye a silk scarf by just mashing up some indigo leaves. It’s like massaging kale. After you dye your scarf you may embellish it with some stencil designs using indigo pigment or just stamp some leaf impressions onto the cloth. Bonus- you will take the stems home to root to grow more plants.
Funding for the artist, Bernadette Puleo, is from a Creative Communities grant through New York State Council of the Arts and Huntington Arts Council.
