Vagabonds at CEED … What Are They up to?

As a blue jay, this reporter can go just about anywhere I want to on the 60 acres or so of conservation land CEED stewards … and apparently, the people of CEED’s Puleston’s Vagabonds birding and nature club can as well. That’s what I witness every Saturday morning: a bunch of chatty happy people tramping about, looking at birds like me as well as other nature.
I mean, I’m used to seeing expert birders … of course they tend not to get too excited about me. But these Puleston’s Vagabonds seem to also include people who get very excited seeing me … and why shouldn’t they. In the last few weeks, I’ve seen a Yellow-hatted retiree, a whole family of Blue-coated multi-generationals, and even a Crocs-footed Teenager.
Never a dull moment when you’re vagabond-watching!
Anyway, just wanted to report on these vagabonds. It seems to be just one more way that CEED is connecting people of all ages with nature. And us nature types love it because people who know us love us and protect us.
Blue jays like me are famous for making lots of noise, so I’m making a lot of noise about supporting CEED on this Giving Tuesday. And you know how when you’re looking through binoculars and don’t quite have them set right, you’ll see a double image of birds like me? Well, apparently, if you make a gift to CEED on Giving Tuesday, it’ll also be doubled by a Matching Gift Fund, up to $2,000. I know they’ll appreciate your help twice as much!
