Indigo Dying Workshop
Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Join Berndaette Puleo for a very exciting Indigo Dying workshop! With just some leaves of the Japanese Indigo plant and a sprinkle of salt, you will dye a silk item of your choice. There will be silk scarves to wear or gift bags that will hold a bottle of wine.
After you dye your item of choice, you will stencil a design with rolled up leaves or indigo pigment. You can even hammer a leaf print right onto your dyed item. You will experience the magic of indigo and take home something beautiful that is uniquely yours.
In addition, you can take home some stems that will root in a matter of days and plant them. You may have some leaves to play with, or if they flower, seeds for next year.
