Spring migration is in full swing and every day we see new arrivals in nature, such as our Osprey, Red-wing Black Birds and Eastern Phoebes. Their homecoming coupled by flowering Crocus, Forsythia and Daffodils marks the joyful birth of spring. Take a moment to slow down and look closely, the signs are all out there and getting ready to burst! Will you help us capture these moments on camera? Let’s spread the joy of spring for all to enjoy!

The next time you head to CEED or your local park for a nature walk, or simply explore your own backyard or neighborhood, grab your smartphone or camera and snap a photo of what you see. Get silly with it, or challenge yourself to an artistic angle or eclectic grouping of nature findings. We want to see wherever your nature adventure takes you!! Family-friendly shots only, please.

Post the photo to social media with the tag #CEEDLI. We’ll repost some of our favorites. Your prize snapshot may even make a star appearance on our website! Here are a few recent photo adventures to get things rolling!

From Lisa Anderson:

As a child I played at Washington Lodge–it was mostly wild then and it was my backyard. On a recent hike at CEED, I reminisced about the property’s amazing swimming pool! The great outdoors is one of the few sources of comfort and solace these days.

From Cheryl Steinhauer:

On my walks yesterday, I found the greatest natural materials on my path and started a collection.
