To Build a Fire With Friction
Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Join Ranger Eric for the 8th of 10 adventures on survival. The eighth workshop in the survival series is about fire making with friction.
Ignite your survival skills with our Friction-Based Fire Making Workshop, one of our most requested and exhilarating classes! Step into the primal world of firecraft while learning the ancient art of conjuring flames from the raw elements of nature. This workshop is dedicated to the hands-on exploration of friction-based techniques, where you’ll learn to transform simple materials like wood, cordage, and your own determination into a comforting campfire. You will learn how to gather kindling, different techniques to place firewood, and how to turn your ember into a flame. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will kindle a deeper connection with the most elemental of survival skills.
Be prepared for the elements with proper layers, footwear, gloves, and a hand towel. In the case of rain, there will not be an indoor option.
Minimum age- 15 years old (Children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.)
