Introduction to Wild Mushrooms
Identifying wild mushrooms is a past-time that is immensely rewarding- getting started can be intimidating! This workshop will introduce participants to common edible mushrooms found on Long Island as well as their more dangerous counterparts; discuss the best practices for safer foraging; and review the techniques, terminology and resources that are used for identifying mushrooms in the field as we take a pleasant Autumn walk around the CEED campus.
Required age: Over 18 years old on the day of the activity
