Geminid Meteor Viewing

Geminid Meteor Viewing

Geminid Meteor Viewing

Thursday, Dec. 14 · 6:30-7:30 pm

Year after year, the Geminid Meteor Shower is one of the best in this part of the world.  In recent years, shooting stars have crossed the sky at a rate of 2-3 every minute. And what better way to see and learn about the action than with an expert? Astronomer Charlie Eder from the Vanderbilt Planetarium will be with us to talk about the Geminids and explore the difference between meteors, meteorites, meteoroids, asteroids, comets.

December 14 is usually the best day for viewing this extraordinary spectacle, so please join us for this exciting outdoor adventure.
